How do I show Instagram posts on my store?

  1. Open Instagram Feeds in Shopify Admin. On Home, enter a public Instagram username without the @ symbol, then click Save.
  2. Go to Online Store, then Themes, then Customize.
  3. Click Add section or add a block, then choose Instagram Feed.
  4. Set layout, spacing, number of posts, profile header, header layout, and captions. Save the theme.

What username can I use?

Use a public Instagram username only. Private accounts cannot be loaded. Do not include @. Enable feed must stay on for the storefront to display posts.

How do I set the feed layout?

In the theme editor, select the Instagram Feed block. Open Layout and choose one style:

What do Spacing and Number of posts do?

Spacing sets the gap between posts: Small, Medium, or Large. Number of posts is a slider from 1 to 12. That is how many posts that block shows on the storefront.

How does the profile header work?

Turn on Show profile header above feed to display your Instagram name, username, post count, follower count, following count, and a Follow button. Counts come from Instagram. They are never invented.

Header layout options: Classic Row (photo left, stats right), Centered, Compact, Profile Card, and Stacked Stats. Turn the header off if you only want posts.

Where do captions appear?

Captions are not shown under feed images. Turn on Show captions in popup to show the caption in the lightbox when a visitor clicks a post. The popup can also include likes, comments, the date, and a View on Instagram link.

How often do posts update?

After a successful fetch, each store refreshes about every 6 hours. The first Save fetches immediately. Older saved posts remain available.

Why is the feed blank on my store?

Confirm that you clicked Save on Home and that Preview shows posts. Add the Instagram Feed block in Theme Customize and save the theme. Use a public username. Private accounts and a disabled feed will not show posts.
